Movement in Lines:
The Animation Studies

These short-form digital animations isolate the pure kinetic qualities of shared cross-species alignment. By stripping away external environmental static, the line studies reveal the subconscious neuromuscular adjustments that occur during mutual self-sensing.

This collection serves as the direct visual companion to the short paper published on
Alkis Raftis’s Writings Archive.

The Stage Blueprint

As featured by the International Dance Council (CID), this work serves as a proof of concept for 4K digital projection art designed for contemporary dance stages. It is a continuous exploration of Applied Choreography, translating the principles of rhythm and balance across three domains: the Stage, Equitation, and the Digital Studio.

The movement and tempo of the line are precisely aligned with the rhythmic pulse of the working trot—specifically calibrated to 75 BPM to achieve a state of kinetic harmony. Using a minimalist aesthetic drawn from Sumi-e and Ukiyo-e traditions, this study tracks the "technical honesty" of the horse’s stride, ensuring that every frame remains true to the nature of the motion.
